Hash #966 – Independence Hash

Quik Fix Tyre Centre, Queen's Park, St. George'sHash #966 was on 4th February 2017 and was held at Quik Fix Tyre Centre, Queen’s Park, St. George’s.  This was our Grenada Independence Day Hash and all or most hashers turned up in all their colours to celebrate.

The hare Troy “Double Entry” Felix set three trails, a short walk, a long walk and a runners trail. Well, there was no shortage of hills on the runners trail and one steep staircase with 125 stairs to climb – we were calling for the skies to open and cool us down with a nice little rain  –  no such luck.

Unfortunately for “Double Entry” quite a few of the regular hashers recognized 95% of the trail –  seems it was almost a duplicate of a prior hash in the area. That little mistake earned”Double Entry” a down down along with the fact that his birthday is on the 8th Feb – he received the Wizards Sleeve and Dotty Potty just to cover all bases.

Hash #966There was a competition for the best dressed hasher (in their colours) and it was a close competition but “Testical” won – by not only wearing all the colours, he carried a flag and while balancing a ball on his head!

There was good food and drinks after the hash, thank-you Troy for your efforts.

Hash #965

Hash #965Hash #965 was held at Good Hope Pasture, St Paul’s and two trails were set by Gary “SS Useless” Lewis and Dylan “No Name” Charles.

Luckily the weather had cleared up over the last few days, so this hash was not as muddy as the previous few and the 4 river crossings were easily manageable by all. the runners trail was fantastic and you could actually run most of it, there were 7 false trails and most the FRB’s landed up doing at least 6 of the 7 false trails. The walkers say their trail was good too – but too short! The only bad part of the trail was that I think the hares ran out of paper at the end, so there were a few very confused hashers half a mile off from the end – most followed the music back and eventually everyone did make it back in time for the closing ceremony.

The closing ceremony was quite a blast, after the Virgin’s blessing and “Short Prick” getting a down down for premature ejaculation, the hares were supposed to get a down down for a variety of misdemeanors. Trying to catch and hold down “SS Useless” was a challenge and virtually impossible but after is warm Carib shower he made sure Dylan – his partner in crime got his fair share.

Hash #965The chaos came about when Hashmaster “Grab De Pussy” wanted to give away the free bottle of wine. The challenge was to catch “Clinically Moonstruck”, which “Anal Retentive” won hands down. “SS Useless” thought that was too easy and said the guys must “wine” for their wine. “Anal Retentive” and “Sex Problem” had a great wining competition going on until they were ambushed and put to shame by a lady hasher!

Great fun, good food and music – thank-you hares for the excellent hash.

Hash #964

Hash #964Hash #964 was held in Victoria, St Marks (Sunset City) and the last week of constant rain sure did add to the mud and entertainment of a hash.

The hares for the day were “Dominatrix”, Rockell, “Cowtail” and Tyrone and they set two trails a runners and a walkers.

For the runners that did the correct trail (a few seemed to miss the 5 foot R and W split), the runners trail was fantastic. There were steep uphills, river crossings, 3 or 4 rope sections down slippery embankments, quite a few steep downhills without rope, one fence climb over and lots of muddy puddles – your typical ingredients for a great hash trail!

Hash #964The walkers trail however, which is never supposed to have rope sections and should be “achievable by all” – had exactly the same tough beginning as the runners trail, including the rope sections and fence climb-over! Our Hash Master called it an Iron-man beginning!

Luckily all our hash walkers a tough and determined and every-one made it back safely – although many, many hashers were covered in mud from head to toe.

The amount of mud brought back from the trail, prompted our Hash Master “Grab De Pussy” to hold a muddiest butt competition and the winner received a bottle of wine.

Our hares were brought to trial for having an “iron-man” section on the beginning of the walkers trail and one of our Hash Maco’s (Cheap Fares) sprained her wrist. Dominatrix took the punishment for the team of hares and opted to wear the Dotty Potty contents of warm Carib.

Hash #964Good music, food, beer and even ice-cream were in abundance for the after hash lime and luckily the weather played nice for us and the rain held off for the whole hash and after party.

Thank-you hares for your great efforts!

Hash #963

Hash #963Hash #963 was held at Eve’s Cove, Woodford, St John and was our new Hash Master “Grab De Pussy” first hash that he was officially presiding over.

The hares Rosanne & Kimon set 3 great trails as always and they even had to do modifications to the trails the day before as there was supposed to be a swimming section on the extreme runners trail which was removed due to big waves.

There was a runners, long walkers and a short walkers trail, all of which had a good mix of uphill, downhill, bush and road. The runners trail  had a little beach section and some really slippery steep slopes for an extra challenge.
Hash #963There was a fair amount of virgins to be christened after the hash and a few punishments. Reg was punished via Dotty Potty for wearing his hash T-shirt inside out and when he foolishly put it back on it was inside out again – so he received a double punishment.

AC/DC took great delight in handing out a hash name “Gag Reflex”  to a new hasher (Laura) that happened to say the wrong thing to him during the hash. When coming to a steep downhill section of the trail, she said go ahead and pass me, “I’m really bad at going down”.

Hash #963Anal Retentive and Girl Guide handed in their resignation as hash police after 5 faithful years of serving – Thank-you guys for all your hard work. Cradle Snatcher and Saber Tooth have been asked to try and fill your shoes – let see how that goes!

Thanks “Grab De Pussy” and the hares for another wonderful hash & after hash lime.

Hash #962 – De Big Bamboo

Hash #962Hash #962 was held at St Pauls Community Center in St George and was a particularly special hash as it was the day of De Big Bamboo Ceremony.

The hare Peak Freak and his assistants Kyle, Red Bull, Kirsten, Skinny and Bug did an outstanding job of setting 3 trails in what has to have been the muddiest hash we have had in a long while. Three days of rain before the hash and rain on the morning of and a little during the hash made for some real challenges for the hare and Rolf managed to take them in his stride.

Both the runners and walkers trails had some hills, rivers and mud and lots of the hashers came back with mud up to their eyebrows , many muddy backsides were seen after the hash.

The short walk (aka Namby Pamby trail) was short and sweet but did include hills and those hashers that did the trail appreciated the easily achievable option while they recovered from their injuries.

Hash #962 De Big BambooThree new hash names were handed out, Ian was given hash name “Hamilton” due to his tendency to always want to race, Warren was given the name “Nancy Boy” for his hashing style of waiting at every false trail and letting others check the correct routes and last but not least Brian our brand new Hash Master was given a new hash name of “Grab De Pussy“.

The highlight of the day of course was De Big Bamboo Ceremony where our outgoing hash mistress Commando handed over the reins to Brian Steele “Bush Blackberry” and now to be known as “Grab De Pussy”. Cereal Killer dressed in red cloak and pink gum boots hosted the hand over ceremony and was assisted by “Cradle Snatcher” and “SS Useless” both dressed up in lovely red tutus and blond wigs.

Commando handing over to Grab De PussyThe outgoing hash mistress Commando, infiltrated the organising of the ceremony and arranged for the new hash master to sit on the toilet filled with ice instead of herself – very sneaky! Grab De Pussy our new hash master promises to make hashing even greater than it is – Oh and build a wall and make the Germans at the hash pay for it

Thank-you Peak Freak for a fantastic hash and for arranging a DJ and Steel Pan band as entertainment. Thanks for Commando for her 2 years as Hash Mistress and good luck Grab De Pussy with your new job!

New Years Day Hangover Hash

New Years Day Hangover HashOur New Year’s Day Hangover Hash was held at Rocky’s Bar, Morne Rouge Bay (BBC Beach), St George. An impressive amount of hashers turned up for this unnumbered hangover hash, it seems we can not go a week without a hash!

A small team of hares; Grandad, Saber Tooth, Doggy Style, Commando & Girl Guide set off a few minutes before On On to set two trails with flour.

The runners trails included a lovely steep, not very muddy slope and some wonderful views at the top of the hill and ridge. The walkers trail had a couple gentle hills that also brought them up to the top of the ridge. There were a few regular false trails and a few unusual ones that either just went in a loop or gave an alternate route to get to the same place.

New Years Day Hangover HashThe after hash lime at Rocky’s was full of New Years Day festivities, including celebrating Sex Problem’s birthday, Cradle Snatcher’s down down for an entire new hash outfit and surprise surprise Anal Retentive finally got a downdown and a beer soaking.

This is a wonderful start to 2017 – hope our year is filled with many more great hashes and limes.

Hash #961 – Christmas

Hash #961Hash #961 our Christmas Hash was held on Christmas Eve at the bar in Dragon’s Bay, Moliniere, St George. The Bling Ting Crew set two trails for us (or did they?)

The trails started off with a false trail, so half the group started off on the return route and to add even more confusion to the trail, the runners and walkers split had been turned into a large blob of paper, so no-one was aware of what trails they were actually on! Even with all the confusion, the trails were splendid with lots of bush, hills, wonderful views and extra slippery muddy slopes.

Hash #961The Christmas after hash lime was  turned out fabulously and the DJ kept the party going with a wide variety of music. Lots of hashers dressed up in their red and Santa outfits and accessories, even the hash dogs played their part.

The hashers were given free food as a special Christmas treat. The bar could not keep up with the hungry & thirsty hashers and a few helpful people did help out behind the bar for a while. Thank-you Doggy Style, Sat Nav, Cheap Fares and Bling Ting for assisting.

Santa Clause made a brief appearance but I do no think the hashers had been tat well behaved this year as his sack of presents was still pretty full when he left! A bottle of rum and hashing gloves were prizes given out to the best dressed Mr & Ms Santa. and birthday wishes and Carib’s were awarded to John & Mona for their 67th and 21st birthdays.

Thank-you Bling Ting and your crew for putting on another great hash. Wishing all Grenada Hashers a safe and happy festive season and all the best for the new year.

Hash #960

Hash #960Hash #960 was held  at the Deslyn Lewis’ Residence, Montreuil, St. Patrick near Mt Rich  clean fresh country air and spectacular hills, bush and rivers. The hare for the hash was Crisis who lived up to his hash name for the runners trail!

Crisis set two trails, a walkers and runners with a bit of a muddy slope for everyone to climb at the beginning – the recent deluge of rain the previous few days did add to the excess of muddy ground.

The runners trail took you up to the top of a ridge and then a rope climb/sllde down the slope to the clean clear river from the Glenec spring. The Silkwood tree that the rope was attached to had a trunk the size of a small house (a few hundred years old).

Hash #960Smiley was welcomed back to the hash with a few Caribs – one at the start of the hash for bright orange new shoes and another after the hash for being away for so long!

A good variety of food was provided at the end of the hash, along with music & beers! Thanks Crisis for a lovely trail!

Hash #959

Hash #959Hash #959 was held in the pasture in Mt Airy, St Pauls. The hares for the hash Dominatrix and Cow Tail set two trails (a runners and a walkers) each with river crossings.

Both trails started off through some lovely bush areas, across a few rivers and included lots of steep downhill slopes .

Unfortunately what goes down must come up and after the last river crossing we exited the bush and headed uphill for what felt like ages along the road that took us through a cemetery and back to the venue.

Hash #959Commando our current hash mistress announced that she will be stepping down next month and handing the reins over to Bush Blackberry (Brian Steele).  We hope all of you make an effort to come to the hash on the 7th January 2017 for the Big Bamboo Ceremony to hand over the hash mistress/master position.

Music, drinks and slightly delayed food caused for some very interesting photo’s at the after hash lime. A good time was had by all – thank-you hares for your effort and to the hashers that always participate with such enthusiasm and a whole lot of misbehaving!

Hash #958

Hash #958Hash #958 was held at Travellers Bar, Grand Mal in St George’s and a super trail was set by the whole Bling Ting Crew (Jahwise, Rear Entry, Wrong Erection, John, Back Door , Slow Cum  and Danny).

In what is becoming a signature move with the Bling Ting Hares, they stood at the start point Travellers Bar” turned around in a full circle and looked for the absolute highest point they could find and said – yes – we will hash up there!

Hash #958The hash started off with a hill that almost reached the heavens and then the sneaky hares caught all the FRB’s out with having a false trail off a false trail – which made for a whole lot of extra hard running to gt back in front. The rest of the uphill climb was through lovely dense bush and once you got to the absolute top of the hill, the hares had laid two side trails for everyone to enjoy the scenic views.

The downhill was probably a trickier trails for most as there was lots of slippery mud, but this was more than made up for by the fantastic trails through the bush and over river stones. There was photographic evidence that quite a few hashers unintentionally slid down the muddy slopes on their rear ends!

Monkey Business almost lost a few of his virgin hashers (again) but luckily they ambled back in at around 6pm – before it got dark. Food, drink, music and muddy and sweaty hashers all enjoyed the after hash lime.

Thank-you Bling Ting Crew for another super hash!
